3 pounds beef brisket

1/2 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup hoisin sauce

2 tablespoons rice vinegar

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 green onions, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Asian Brisket: Directions

Lightly spray the interior of your slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray or use a slow cooker liner to make cleanup easy.

Place the brisket in the slow cooker.

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and black pepper. Mix well.

Pour the sauce over the brisket, making sure it is evenly coated.

Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4-5 hours until the brisket is tender.

Remove the brisket and slice against the grain.

Pour some of the cooking juices over the sliced brisket before serving.

Add chopped green onions on top if you like, and serve hot.
