Beef Patties in Tomato Sauce. Soft beef patties cooked slowly in a warm, rich tomato sauce. So good when you eat them with creamy mashed potatoes and some cooked veggies on the side!
What You Need
- beef patties → 16 (see tip below)
- tomato soup → 1 and a half cups (don’t add water or milk, just use it straight from the can)
- curry powder → 1 small spoon
- Worcestershire sauce → 2 big spoons
- fruit chutney → ⅓ cup
- gravy powder → 2 big spoons
- tiny tomatoes → a small handful, cut in half (cherry tomatoes work great too!)
How To Make Beef Patties in Tomato Sauce
- Put your beef patties into the slow cooker. No need to cook them first!
- Mix tomato soup, curry powder, Worcestershire sauce, fruit chutney, and gravy powder in a bowl.
- Pour that yummy sauce all over the patties.
- Drop the little tomato pieces on top.
- Put the lid on and let it cook on LOW for 5 hours.
- Serve it up with mashed potatoes and your favourite veggies. Yum!
Helpful Tips
- What’s a beef patty? Think of a big, flat meatball made from ground beef — kind of like a burger patty but rounder!
- Using meatballs instead? That works too! Just cook them for 4 hours instead of 5.
- Bought or homemade? You can grab ready-made patties from the store, or make your own at home — both ways taste amazing.
- Feeding fewer people? Just use 8 patties instead of 16. Save the extra sauce — it tastes even better the next day!
