Slow Cooked Beef Rendang. This dish has soft meat, creamy coconut milk, and tasty spices. It makes a warm and gentle meal that is great for family dinners and relaxing nights.

Delicate, sweetly spiced and not too hot to enjoy by the kids. The dish is ideal for warming up those tummies during cold winter evenings.

Ingredients

  • Diced beef → 600-800g
  • Rendang paste → 1 jar
  • Carrots peeled and chopped → 2
  • Peeled and chopped sweet potato → 1
  • Parsley → 1tsp
  • Thyme → 1x tsp
  • Bay leaf → 1x
  • Chicken stock → 1 cup
  • Coconut cream → 1 tin
  • Salt and pepper → Season

Slow Cooked Beef Rendang: Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients in slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours.

Notes

In case sauce requires thickening, add 1 tbsp of corn flour to 2 tbsp of water and mix thoroughly. To the sauce, add and mix until thick.
Accompanied by greens and boiled rice.
I took the Ayam brand of the rendang sauce.
