Slow Cooked Pork Roast.. 

For those that were wondering how my slow cooked roast pork turned out the most juiciest and tender meat with amazing crispy crackling! I’m really impressed and will be cooking it like this from now on. My plate is tiny as I’ve had weight loss surgery so added in a pic of hubby’s plate so you can see how amazing it looked

I just sprayed the SC with oil and put the roast in for 7 hours (1 hour high rest on low) then once done I took it out, patted the rind dry with paper towel, put some salt on and blasted in the oven for 10 minutes at 250°. The meat turned out perfectly tender, the knife just sliced straight through and the crackling was crispy and perfect, I’m really impressed and will cook it this way from now on.

Question….thats how i cook my lamb .. havent given pork a go yet ..cant wait.

Answer… I always do lamb in SC too and it’s always great, this was first time with pork and it’s great.

Question.. What cut was it? Leg?

Answer.. loin.

Question.. Just need to know if pork goes in sc on its own ie no herbs, water, spices ?

Answer.. I just sprayed the SC with oil, no stock or anything and no spices. I didn’t like the smell of it cooking as I love my spices and marinades but the end taste was absolutely amazing.
