FAKEAWAY, Slow cooker Doner Kebabs. They never fail.
Ingredients:
500g Minced Lamb or Beef
1/2 tsp Onion Granules
1/2 tsp ground coriander
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried mixed herbs
1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp Garlic powder
1 tsp sea salt
Pinch of freshly ground black pepper
Directions:
●Put all ingredients into a blender or food processor blitz until smooth
● Once blitzed form it into the shape of a meatloaf. Wrap it completely and tightly in tin foil, make sure no gaps. Place 3 small balls of foil in the bottom of the slow cooker so it acts as a trivet for the wrapped meat to sit on. Place the wrapped meat on top.
●Put the lid on and cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 6 hours. Once cooked remove the foil and let it rest for 10 minutes then slice it down thinly, serve inside pitta breads with salad.
We use shredded red cabbage, shredded lettuce, thinly sliced onions, mint yogurt and chilli sauce.
