Very happy with my slow cooker lasagne. It was a big hit with the family.
Ingredients:
- 1 kg Minced beef
- Garlic
- onion
- celery
- 150 ml beef stock
- 2 tins chopped and peeled tomato paste
- Cheese
Directions:
I made my meat sauce with 1kg minced beef. I browned the mince, added garlic, onion and seasoned it with salt and pepper. Them I pretty much put in everything else and brought out to a high simmer for 10 mins. I put some of the meat sauce at the bottom of the SC and topped it with dry pasta sheets, just snapping them to make them fit. My sauce was just 3 eggs and around 500ml cream mixed together. I put some of the sauce on top of the pasta then just kept layering it. Meat, pasta, sauce over and over and ended with the meat and a handful of grated cheese – I used a mixture of mozzeralla and pizza cheese.
SC on high for 6 hours, then another 2 hours on low. No mixing, turning over or lid lifting.
You could do the meat sauce anyway you prefer. My daughter adds tins of pasta sauce instead of the tins of tomatoes. Its a preference thing. Enjoy!!
