Mee Goreng. A flavorful slow cooker noodle dish with chicken, sauces, and fresh vegetables, finished with a delicious garnish.
Ingredients

500g chicken throat fillet cut into strips.

1.5Tbsp sesame oil

1Tbsp minced garlic

2Tbsp minced ginger

1/2 cup liquid chicken stock

1/4 cup kecap manis sweet soy sauce.

1/4 cup sweet chilli (low sugar) sauce.

1Tbsp low salt soy sauce

1Tbsp cornflour and 1Tbsp water slurred.

2 pkts shelf noodles thin egg (440g) shelf-ready.

1 cup bean sprouts
-
2 green spring onions/shallots chopped.

crispy fried shallots and additional green shallots cut to serve as a decoration.
Mee Goreng: Instructions

Prepare chicken Sear chicken with sesame oil, ginger and garlic using searing slow cooker (or fry pan), briefly until chicken is slightly seared.

If you used a frying pan, put the food back into the slow cooker.

Add the chicken stock, soy sauces and sweet chilli sauce.

Slow cook on low for 2.5-3hrs

Stir cornflour slurry to thicken sauce and add raw noodles and slow cook another 10mins to heat.

Add fresh shallots and bean sprouts, cook for 5 minutes, then serve.

Crispy fried shallots and green shallots should be used as a garnish.
