Mushroom and Steak Pie Slow Cooked

Slow Cooked Mushroom and Steak Pie. A rich, comforting slow-cooked steak pie with mushrooms, tender beef, and golden pastry, perfect for hearty family dinners.

Ingredients

  • diced Casserole Beef → 500g

  • diced Onion → 1

  • Swiss Brown Mushrooms, chopped → 200g

  • Beef Stock → 1 1/2 cup

  • Salt, Pepper →

  • Worcestershire sauce → get dash of

  • Corn Flour or Gravox → To thicken add

  • Puff Pastry →

Mushroom and Steak Pie: Instructions

  1. Place beef, onion, mushrooms, stock, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper in slow cooker.

  2. Bake for 5 hours or until the meat tends to be soft.

  3. Lid- remove and turn on high or slow cooker.

  4. Put in the corn flour or gravy into the slow cooker and stir.

  5. Cook on high until the sauce is thickened, and remove some of the liquid as required.

  6. Cool pie filling.

  7. Prepare grease pie tin with pastry.

  8. Pour in cold pie filling on pastry crust.

  9. Best pie, pastry with crimps on the edges.

  10. Apply pastry on the brush with egg wash and bake until golden.
