Slow Cooker Lamb Fry

Slow Cooker Lamb Fry. A tender and flavorful lamb fry slow-cooked with savory bacon, onions, and rich homemade gravy for comforting family meals.

Ingredients

  • Lambs fry → 1
  • Arrowroot or cornflour → 1 Tbsp
  • Onion, sliced → 1
  • Bacon (optional) → 250g
  • Chicken stock cube → 1
  • Vegie stock cube dissolved in water → 1 cube in 500ml water
  • BBQ sauce → 3 Tbsp
  • Worcestershire sauce → 1 Tbsp

Slow Cooker Lamb Fry: Instructions

  1. Slice lamb’s fry (or ask butcher to do it).
  2. Put lamb’s fry in a bag with some arrowroot/cornflour and shake.
  3. Add lamb’s fry to the slow cooker along with a little onion and optional bacon.
  4. Prepare a gravy blend with 1 chicken stock cube and 1 veggie stock cube dissolved in 500ml water, flavored with BBQ and Worcestershire sauce. Add 1–2 Tbsp arrowroot/cornflour and whisk well. (Optional: use purchased Gravox.)
  5. Pour the gravy over the fry and cook on low for 4 hours, stirring two or three times.
