  • ½ tablespoon fresh ginger, chopped fine

  • 1 tablespoon fresh garlic, chopped fine

  • ½ teaspoon turmeric

  • 3 teaspoons mild curry powder (Keens brand is great)

  • Extra 1-2 tablespoons cornflour to thicken at the end

Family Fun Beef Curry: Directions

  1. Put the chopped beef and onion in your slow cooker.

  2. Mix all other ingredients (except the extra cornflour) in a bowl until smooth, then pour over the beef and onion.

  4. In the last 30 minutes, stir extra cornflour with a bit of water and add it to make the curry thicker.

  5. Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or cauliflower mash.
