We made a guinness and beef stew after buying our first slow cooker 

Tasted amazing 

Ingredients:

Half a chopped onion
X2 knorr rich beef stock pots
X1 knorr beef cube
1 can of guiness draught or preferred guiness
X4 carrots
Half a bag of Albert Bartlett potatoes or preffered choice
1 Swede
Ground salt
Ground pepper
Flour
700g chopped beef

Directions:
1. Season the chopped beef with salt and pepper and then coat it in plain flour. Leave this to sit whilst you chop the veg.

2. Thickly chop the carrots, potatoes and Swede once you have peeled them. I chopped my potatoes like roasties.

3. Peel and chop the onion.. smaller the better as this will dissolve into juices in the gravy.

4. Heat a pan on the hob (or if you have a sear and stew slow cooker use this on the hob) and lightly brown off the meat

5. Once browned place the beef into the slow cooker and put the vegetables on top of this.

6. Mix up your beef stocks and cubes in a jug and pour on top of the beef and veg.

7. Generously pour in your can of guiness.. the stronger you want the ale taste the more you just put in.

8. Set your beaut of a slow cooker to high and leave. We had ours cooking away for 9 hours to get the fall apart meat and thickness.

. About 3 hours before it’s ready we added a small spoon of plain flour and stirred it in to create a thicker gravy.

. We also kept mixing the stew every few hours (not sure if it actually done anything lol)

When you serve it leave to stand in your bowl for a few mins to get the extra thick layer.

Also this fed 2 and was probably enough for 2 bowls each x
