DUMP BAG
Hi to all members. We are getting a lot of people doing “dump bags” this week, so I thought I’d explain to you all what they are and why? Hope this makes sense, feel free to Throw in a comment if I miss anything.
DUMP BAG – zip lock bag with cut up vegetables,
with a separate little bag inside with your cut up marinated meat,
and some spices, herbs, sauces, or pot hotpot with a small mix of liquid.,…1/4 cup at most..
Pop the veg and mix of herbs, sauces in to the bag, mix all together, then pop your meat bag in, zip lock the lot up and throw it in the freezer. ( this way your meat is not contaminating anything)
When you need a quick meal for your slow cooker, grab your dump bag, and some extra stock or liquid, your handy Slow cooker and away you go.
(Also I saw on here today, some people use their oven bags as the Dump bag, so even better . Oven bag can go in freezer as well as slow cooker, and if you have a fussy eater, you can pop 2 dump bags in the slow cooker at once. )
Here is one example.( my first one today)…can’t quite see it but my chicken is at the very top and it’s sealed in plastic on its own.
