Fresh bread baked in my slowcooker easy to make and tastes good
Ingredients:
500g plain flour
1tbs dry yeast
1tbs sugar
350ml lukewarm water
2tbs olive oil
1tsp salt
Methods:
Line your slow-cooker with parchment paper, combine yeast, sugar and water. Add flour, oil and salt. Knead on a floured surface until smooth and soft (5mins). Roll into a ball, then with a knife, cut lines across the top. Place in slow-cooker, cover with a tea-towel and lid. No need to leave to rest. Cook on high for 3 1/2 hours (I think time depends on your slow-cooker)
Tea towel like this so that the condensation on the lid does not drip on the bread.

Member question…. can you use any oil? Like vegetable oil or sunflower? Or does it have to be olive oil xx
Answer…. I guess it will be ok to use other oil, might change a bit the flavour but it will be good anyway.
Member question…. did you put the bread in the oven at all to get a crust?
Answer…. no only in the slow-cooker and I was surprised how crusty it turned out.
Member question….Cannot get yeast, all sold out.
Answer…. tomorrow I might try beer bread in my slow-cooker, why don’t you have a go with that? No yeast needed.
