I tried Old Fashioned Rice Pudding in the slow cooker
Ingredients
1 cup of uncooked white rice
1 cup of white sugar
8 cups of milk (2L)
2 eggs
1/2 cup of milk
2 tsp vanilla essence
1/4 tsp salt
nutmeg or cinnamon
Method
Combine rice, first measure of milk and sugar, stir well cook on high for 4 hours.
Then mix the eggs,remaining milk,vanilla and salt.Pour into slow cooker stir to mix into cooked rice and milk.Cover and cook for another 20 minutes…Will thicken during this time,,,
Serve warm , sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon…

2nd Rice Pudding Recipe
SC Rice pudding! tastes so creamy!!
Ingredients:
3.5l pot
250g pudding rice
2 pints of milk
2 spoons sugar
1 tin evaporated milk 410g
Butter
Method
Greased the pot and left a little knob of butter in…add the rice, sugar and milk
Cooked on low for 2 hours than added the evaporated milk and put on high for 2 hours
Stirred every half hour or so!
( was following a recipe I saw on here but think if I had put in on high … would have only taken 3 hours) 😋😋

3rd Rice Pudding Recipe
Making Old Fashioned Rice Pudding
3/4 cup white rice
3 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teas cinnamon
Pinch salt
2 tbs butter
Rinse rice then place all ingredients in greased slow cooker and cook on high 2 1/2 hrs.

Rice pudding ready for dessert and batch freezing. I use the ratio of 50g of pudding rice/1 pint of semi-skimmed milk and this one has 150g/3 pts. Add caster sugar to taste,1 tsp of vanilla extract and grated nutmeg to top x
Oil slow cooker pot
Add rice, seasoning and milk, stir
Cook on low about 2 1/2 hours, stirring every half hour.

100g rice ( tesco rice pudding)
Double cream 300mls
800mls semi skimmed milk
30g caster sugar
Vanilla Extract 2-3 tablespoons
Cook on high 2 hrs
Then low 3 hrs
Stirring regularly
