Slow Cooker Spotted dick feeds 8

Ingredients:
250g self raising flour
Pinch salt
125g shredded suet
180g mix fruit
80g caster sugar
Finely greated zest 1 lemon
Finely greated zest 1 small orange
150ml hole milk


Method:
Mix all together add more milk if needed
Place in slow cook on high for 4 hr
Wrap loosely in tin foil to allow the pudding to rise and tie around the middle to stop water getting in to pudding.

 

2nd Slow Cooker Spotted Dick Recipe

Hey hey!!! Considering I can burn jelly (jello), just take a look at me ‘Spotted Dick’ (don’t start that again !). Pity you haven’t got a ‘scratch and snif’ PC.

 

This is my second effort as I forgot the sugar on the last one. But made up for it in the custard. I’m very thankful of the help you guys have given me on here. Now whose got a recipe for neck end of anchovy

Ingredients:

250gms Self Raising Flour
pinch of salt
125gms Shredded Suet
180gms of Currants (I used sultanas in the pic)
80gms Sugar
Zest of a Lemon or Orange (or try a bit of both )
150mls milk

Directions:
Just mix it all in a bowl. Mix dry ingredients first – slowly add milk. (If its sticky that’s ok, if you cant get it out of the bowl – a Tiny bit of water.
Put in a pudding dish – cover with foil. And into the SC. Fill the SC with water to a bit more that half way up the pudding dish (not in the pudding – divvy – around the outside of your dish, But inside your SC otherwise it will go everywhere ! 🙂 )
On High for three hours…always make sure the water is at least halfway up the pudding basin. Not a good idea to put a towel in my opinion – 1. You cant easily see the level without lifting the lid (and I’ve been told that’s worth another 20 mins cooking. 2. The extra moisture should help maintain the water level .
