Steamed Orange Pudding Recipe done in the slow cooker. 😋
Ingredients for Steamed Orange Pudding Recipe :
1.6oz Self Raising flour
2. 6oz sugar (granulated or caster is fine)
3. 3oz butter
4. 3oz oil (sunflower or vegetable)
5. 2tbs milk
6. 2 eggs
7. 2 large oranges
Method:
Zest and juice 1 of the oranges, remove pulp
Remove peel/pith of 2nd orange and slice into rings
Mix all other ingredients together, then add orange zest/juice/pulp to the mix.
Butter a pudding basin, line with sliced orange. Fill basin with 1/3 of mixture, cover with cling film then steam in slow cooker for 3 hours on high (lid on). Make sure you put water in slow cooker up to 1/3 of the way up the bowl.
Any left over mixture can be put into cases and baked in the oven – about 20 mins on Gas 4.
