Betty Crocker Cake Slow Cooker. My slow cooker bakes a better cake than my oven every time. Thank you Betty Crocker. This is the devils food chocolate cake.
The box suggests 230mls of water or milk, so I do half and half (115 water 115 milk)
And 120mls of either oil or melted butter, so I do the same again 60mls/60 mls
Just under 2 hours on high with a tea towel under the lid. I turn my pot around half way because mine seems to cook faster on one side and I start checking it from about an hour and forty minutes in. I just peep under the lid and give the pot a jiggle, if the centre wobbles, I leave it a bit longer. I’ve found this to be the quickest way to check without loosing too much heat.
