2 tablespoons Cajun spice mix

2 teaspoons smoked paprika

2 teaspoons brown sugar

1.5-2kg+ beef spare ribs (or pork ribs)

1 cup tomato sauce

1/3 cup barbecue sauce

2 garlic cloves, smashed

1/4 cup bourbon
-
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Bourbon BBQ Beef Spare Ribs: Directions

Put ribs in the slow cooker. Sprinkle on dry spices and rub them all over.

Add all wet stuff and garlic. Mix it up well. Cook on high for 1 hour, then low for 5-6 hours.

Move ribs to an oven tray. Cover with foil or a lid. Bake at 150°C for 20 minutes. Brush on sauce halfway.

Take sauce from slow cooker, pour into a pan. Boil on high heat until it gets thick like you like.

Pour thick sauce over ribs or dunk them in it. Dig in and enjoy!
