Sausage Slow Cooker Recipe

Make a hearty sausage slow cooker recipe with mushrooms, carrots, curry powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook low for 5–6 hours and serve with rice, mash, or steamed greens for an easy, comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • 1kg sausages

  • 1 cup mushrooms

  • 2-3 carrots, peeled and sliced

  • 2 cups of chicken stock

  • 1tsp Brown sugar

  • 2tsp garlic

  • 2tsp curry powder

  • 1tsp ginger

  • 2tbs Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tbsp tomato paste

  • 1tsp of onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp thyme

  • 1/2 tsp Rosemary

  • 2 bay leaves

  • 1tsp oil

  • Cornflour to thicken

  • Season with salt and pepper

Use sausages in small pieces and put everything in your slow cooker and cook on low heat of 5/6 hours.

Thickening the Sauce

In the event that your sauce is not thick enough after about 30 minutes of cooking, mix 2 tbsp of cornflour with the same volume of water so that it becomes a slurry, then pour it into your slow cooker and stir.
