So my slow cooker lasagna recipe expanded and is gigantic but it looks amazing so I hope it tastes as good as it looks and smells.
Ingredients:
45 oz of ricotta
-big bag of mozzarella
-1 bag of parmesan
-3 lbs of ground beef (or any ground meat of your preference)
-1 box of lasagna noodles
-1 onion (diced small)
-pepperoni to taste
-2-3 (for sure 2, an extra half or full is optional) jars of sauce.
Let’s see how to make Slow Cooker Lasagna
Directions:
Brown beef in LARGE pan over medium/high heat, add finely diced onion and cook until soft. Drain of fat and return to pan, then add in 2 jars of sauce and mix, add spices as you like (I used garlic powder, onion powder, salt (tinyyyy bit), and pepper). Mix ricotta (all), 4.5 cups of mozzarella, 2 cups of parmesan and spices as you like (same as above, plus smoked paprika).
Spray crockpot with PAM. Put 1 cup of meat sauce on bottom, 1 layer of noodles (break as necessary to cover), 1 layer of cheese mixture, layer of pepperoni, layer of sauce (feel free to add more plain jarred sauce on top of the meat sauce if you like is saucier). Repeat until meat sauce is gone, ending with sauce on top. Added parmesan on top, set to low for 4.5 hours and at the 2.5 hours mark, added more mozzarella and pepperoni on top.
Holy cannoli this is large. I need a smaller crockpot…this was just supposed to be for meal prep for 2. Not 12.
