Trying out Slow Cooker Roast Beef Recipe today
INGREDIENTS for Slow Cooker Roast Beef Recipe:
– 1kg Coles Beef Roast(Mustard & Black Pepper)
– 1 medium brown onion, peeled & cut into eighths
– 3 medium carrots, peeled & cut into thirds
– 3 large potatoes, peeled & cut into large chunks
– 1/2 cup beef stock
– Again 1/2 tsp dried rosemary
– 1/2 tsp garlic powder
METHOD:
– Place all cut veggies on the bottom of the slow cooker and then sprinkle with rosemary & garlic powder; give a quick stir to coat evenly
– Lay meat on top of veggies & pour stock over meat & veggies.
– Cook on LOW for 6-8 hours, depending on your slow cooker.
**UPDATE**
Wow! Very pleasantly surprised at how good this turned out! Full of flavour, tender and so much like a traditional ‘roast’ that most people probably wouldn’t be able to tell the difference!
I ended up cooking for 7 hours and once meat & veg removed I made a gravy from the juices by adding a couple of tablespoons of gravy powder and whisking through (just go by eye and keep adding/whisking until at desired consistency).
This will be a regular in our house now 🙂
