500g ground beef

1 onion, cut into slices

200g chopped bacon

2 garlic cloves, chopped

1 tbsp dried oregano

1 can tomatoes

1 can Heinz condensed tomato soup

1/2 packet low-salt French onion soup mix

300 ml cream
-
5 potatoes

1/4 cup parmesan cheese

Cheddar cheese (for topping)
Potato Bake on Steroids: Directions

Cook the onion, bacon, and garlic in a pan until soft. Add oregano and stir for 1 minute.

Put in the ground beef and cook until it’s all brown and done.

Mix in the soup mix, tomato soup, tomatoes, and cream. Let it bubble gently for 2 minutes. Stir in Parmesan cheese.

Cut potatoes into medium-thick slices (not too skinny!).

Spray your slow cooker. Layer potatoes, then meat mix. Keep layering until everything’s used up. End with meat on top.

Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top right before eating.
