Meatballs Down Memory Lane. An alternative version to our regular Memory Lane chicken. These tender meatballs simmer in a sweet-savory sauce made from soy and tomato, turning into a cozy family favorite in your slow cooker. Swap in chicken for variety, or try bite-sized sausages. Pair with veggie mash for a hearty meal that brings back happy memories—easy, tasty, and oh-so-comforting!
Ingredients
-
35 ready-made meatballs (or change the amount for your family)
-
1/4 cup soy sauce (I pick low-salt kind)
-
1 cup tomato sauce

Meatballs Down Memory Lane: Instructions
-
I use ready-made raw meatballs for quick weeknight meals. But feel free to cook your own favorite homemade ones and pop them in here too.
-
Put the raw meatballs in the slow cooker.
-
Mix the sauces together and pour them on top.
-
Cook on low heat for 4 hours.
-
I like serving it with veggie potato mash, like in the picture. Just make regular mashed potatoes, heat up some frozen peas, carrots, and corn, then mix them in right before eating.
-
Spoon lots of the tasty sauce over everything. It makes tons while cooking, so don’t fret if it looks skimpy at the start!
-
This works great with sausages too—I snip them into small bites with scissors while raw, then toss the pieces right into the slow cooker.
