Caramel Sago Pudding Recipe….
Ingredients:
3 heaped tblspn sago
1 egg well beaten
1&3/4 cup whole milk
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 tblsp real butter
Dollop golden syrup
*dollop of molasses
Directions:
Pop sago, egg an 1cup of milk in 1.5L slow cooker an let sit.
In small saucepan (milk warmer one we use) pop syrup, butter an sugar an stir on high heat till sugar disolved an it caramely.
Slowly whisk in remaining milk. Then slowly pour an whisk into sc. Once well mixed pop on high for about a hour stirring occassionally.
*please note not overly sweet or strong caramel flavour as we don’t like really sweet things, the 16yo just finshed 2nd bowl 😂😂
*just made another batch with dollop of molasses too 😉 adds a bit more depth to flavour.
