Creamy Garlic Slow-Steak

Creamy Garlic Slow-Steak. This is my easy slow-cooker steak recipe. I used casserole steak and cooked it slowly with onions and garlic. Then I poured a smooth, cheesy garlic sauce over the meat. It becomes tender and tasty. This recipe serves four and is simple to make.

Slow-cooked steak becomes soft and full of garlic flavor in a creamy, cheesy sauce. Onions and a mix of cream, cream cheese, and Parmesan make the sauce rich and smooth. It’s a low-effort family meal—just set the slow cooker and finish with melted cheese for a warm, comforting dinner.

Serving: 4
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 5 hours
Total Time: 5 hours 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of steak (I used casserole steak)

  • 3 cloves garlic, diced

  • 1 brown onion, diced

  • 250 ml cream

  • 3 tablespoons cream cheese (Philly)

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 handful grated cheese

  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese

  • A little chives (optional)

Creamy Garlic Slow-Steak: Directions

  1. Place the chopped onion at the bottom of the slow cooker.

  2. Place the steak slices on top of the onions, then sprinkle the diced garlic over the steak.

  3. Cook on low for 5 hours, flipping the steak once about halfway through cooking.

  4. When the steak is almost done, mix the cream, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and Parmesan in a measuring cup.

  5. Microwave that sauce mix for 3 minutes, or heat until smooth and blended.

  6. Pour the warm sauce over the steak in the slow cooker.

  7. Add the handful of grated cheese on top in the last 30 minutes of cooking so it melts.

  8. Sprinkle chives on top if you like, then serve.
