Slow Cooker Lamb Kebab Meat.
Very fresh to the slow cooker life, this is the third dish I’ve made in it! I always feel cautious when eating red meat that I haven’t cooked (weird I know) so it was nice to make my own!
Ingredients:
– 500g lamb mince
– 1.5 teaspoon of mixed herbs
– 1.5 tsp garlic powder
– Again 1.5 tsp onion powder
– 1 tsp cayenne pepper
– Salt and pepper, around 1 tsp of each
Method
Mixed together with hands, rolled tightly into loaf and wrapped tight in foil. Placed in slow cooker with NO liquids.
High for 3.5 hours! Decided to place tea towel under the lid halfway through as a fair bit of condensation was building up (again, I’m new at this so not sure if that was needed)
Took the foil off and waited to cool down a little before I used a vegetable peeler to carve the meat and also a knife for the remaining parts.
Lettuce, onion, tomato, cheese, sour cream/garlic and sweet chilli sauce on pita bread!
** we got about four very large pita wraps out of the 500g.
