So many pot roast recipes lately…. I decided to make one today. I use beer sometimes!
Ingredients:
2-3 lbs. chuck
2 med onions, rough chop
1 lg celery stalk, rough chop
4 lg carrots, cut in chunks
1 bottle of beer or ale
9 baby Yukon Gold potatoes
Salt, pepper, celery salt, thyme
Methods:
Brown meat on all sides, set aside (season meat 🥩 on all sides with above seasonings before browning)
Cover bottom of cooker with onions, celery and carrots
Pour 1 bottle (can) of beer or ale over vegetables (12 oz)
Put meat on top of vegetables
Surround meat with potatoes
Sprinkle thyme over potatoes
Cook on high 3 hours – then low for 4 or 5 hours.
