Slow Cooker Roasted Potatoes Recipes

Ingredients:

Very slow cooked Roast potatoes basted in a knob of butter & a teaspoon of oil, seasoned with Rock salt and cracked black peppercorn and a teaspoon of dried Rosemary. Then 20 minutes b4 the end of cooking using the back of a teaspoon pop on a light coating of marmite for that sticky tacky but crisp effect.

Let’s see how to cook Slow Cooker Roasted Potatoes

Directions:

I par boil them for 6 minutes in salted water then drain then deep fry in a chip pan till crisping then drain… season in a tray with a knob of butter and oil, then salt and black pepper and dried rosemary toss around add to the slow cooker for 2 hours on high whilst meat is cooking in the oven. then after 2 hours remove from the slow cooker onto a plate add the marmite and place the potatoes into the meat tray and finish off in the oven whilst carving the meat. X roughly 4 per person x

( Give it a go I just use a oven proof baking tray and light two of the hob rings so its even heat I do them on medium to low so they Brown slowly)

( It’s worth it tho…I’ve done them in the meat juices b4 and hob and oven all methods work well. I do have a double oven but the tops not working so the slow cooker came in handy. I use a trivet with the meat so normally would par boil the potatoes then take the meat out and add potatoes after they come out not as crisp tho still nice all the same).

Notes:
1. Can you actually taste the marmite?

Answer….         No you cant really taste it at all…it just gives a slight beefy taste to them…they’re lush to be fair and no one would guess they had marmite on I only use the back of a teaspoon and I only spread on one side of each potato so not all over them x

2. Ah I don’t have a fryer 😞

Answer….         You cud fry them off on the hob I’ve done it that way to when I cant be asked to get the fryer out x

3. Oh I thought I would have to hear a pan of oil lol x

Answer…            No you can use a knob of butter and 3dessert spoons of oil add the condiments and then tip the potatoes in the tray and turn them occasionally for even browning then pop them.in the slow cooker x

4. Do you put tea towel under lid to stop condensation?

Answer…            You can do if you wish to x
