Total Time: 5 hours 40 minutes

Ingredients

  • 8 sausages
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 large mushrooms, chopped
  • 1 tin of condensed tomato soup
  • About 5 heaped dessert spoons of gravy powder
  • About 4 cups of water (a little more or less is okay)

Instructions

  1. Pour the water into the slow cooker, then add the gravy powder. Whisk it well with a fork or small whisk until there are no lumps and the mix looks smooth.
  2. Add the tin of condensed tomato soup into the slow cooker. Whisk again so the soup blends fully into the gravy mixture, making a smooth, rich sauce.
  3. Add the sausages, chopped tomatoes, chopped onion, and chopped mushrooms into the slow cooker. Stir everything gently so the sausages and vegetables are covered by the sauce.
  4. Put the lid on the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 5 and a half hours, until the sausages are cooked all the way through and the sauce has thickened nicely.
  5. Once done, give it one more gentle stir before serving hot, spooning plenty of that rich gravy over each portion.

This easy sausage dinner is simple to make, full of flavor, and perfect for busy days when you want a warm, homemade meal without much work.
