What You’ll Need

1 kg lean ground beef

1/2 cup mirin (125 ml)

1/2 cup sake (125 ml)

1/2 cup low-salt soy sauce (125 ml)

1/4 cup packed brown sugar

1 tbsp chopped ginger

1 tbsp chopped garlic

1 tbsp cornflour mixed with water (to thicken)
How to Make Teriyaki Beef

Put everything except cornflour and water in your slow cooker.

Cook on low for 4.5 hours.

Scoop off extra fat from the top with a small cup.

Mash any beef lumps with a plastic masher until smooth.

Mix cornflour and water into a thin paste, stir it in, and cook 30 more minutes.

Serve hot with jasmine rice!
