Aussie Lamb Shanks: Instructions

  1. Put lamb shanks (raw) in slow cooker (make sure to take the plastic sleeve off the bone knuckle many of them have).

  2. Microwave safe cup Honey and Vegemite. Combine the honey and Vegemite in a microwave safe cup and heat 30secs with a stir to combine.

  3. Brush this everywhere over shanks till coated.

  4. Broil rosemary with shanks (leave them on the stalk to be able to easily take them off at the end before serving).

  5. Cook on AUTO 8hrs – 2hrs high and 6hrs low…. or cook them on LOW only 8-10hrs.

  6. Mine was cooked in a 7L searing slow cooker that allowed me to place them in a single layer although should you have to stack them that is also ok just rotate halfway through the cooking time.
