- 10 chicken drumsticks
- 300ml cooking cream
- 2 sachets of Asian Laksa cup of soup (dry — do not add water)
Cup-o-Laksa Creamy Chicken: Directions:
- Put the raw chicken drumsticks into the slow cooker.
- Mix the cooking cream and both dry laksa soup sachets together really well.
- Pour the cream and soup mix all over the chicken.
- Put the lid on and cook on low heat for about 5 hours.
- Serve hot with your favorite side dish and enjoy!
Notes:
- This dish goes really well with brown rice, cauliflower mash, or steamed green veggies.
- Do not add water to the soup sachets — use them dry.
- Cooking cream is a thick pouring cream that does not split when heated. Bulla brand works great.
- You can use any cut of chicken you like, not just drumsticks.
- This recipe makes a good amount of thick, creamy sauce that you can pour over your chicken and sides.
- If you prefer, you can pull the chicken meat off the bones, shred it, and mix it right into the sauce.
- The laksa flavor is mild and not spicy at all, so even little kids will enjoy it.
- This is meant to be a fast and easy meal with simple things you can find at the store — and kids love it!
