Maple Mustard Silverside. This slow cooker silverside recipe is so yummy and easy that it might just become your new favorite way to cook it!
What You Need
- A big 2 kg piece of corned beef silverside → 2 kg
- Half a cup of maple syrup → 1/2 cup
- A quarter cup of wholegrain mustard → 1/4 cup
How To Make Maple Mustard Silverside
- Give your silverside a good rinse under cold water, then put it in your slow cooker.
- Mix the maple syrup and mustard in a small bowl, then pour it all over the meat.
- Here’s the important part — do not add any water! It may sound a little odd, but believe me, it works. As the meat cooks, it makes its own juices and will end up sitting halfway in liquid all by itself. Pretty cool, right?
- Put the lid on and cook it on high for 6 hours, or if you’re not in a hurry, on low for 9 hours.
- Once it’s done, slice it up and serve it however you like!
💡 Tip
The maple syrup gives the meat a little sweetness while the mustard adds a nice tangy kick. Together they make something really special!
