Chicken Tomato Pesto Pasta Sauce. A yummy chicken and tomato pasta sauce cooked slow and easily — perfect for your favourite noodles!

What You Need

  • 1 kg chicken drumsticks
  • 690g jar of passata sauce
  • 400g can of chopped tomatoes
  • 1 cup of water
  • 100g basil pesto
  • 250g sun-dried tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons of minced garlic
  • 200g green beans

To Serve:

  • 1 head of broccoli, cut up and steamed
  • 1 packet of bow-tie pasta, cooked
  • Mozzarella cheese on top if you like

How To Make Chicken Tomato Pesto Pasta

  1. Put all the main ingredients into your slow cooker — but not the green beans yet! Cook on low heat for 4 and a half hours.
  2. After 2 and a half hours, add the green beans to the pot.
  3. When the chicken is done cooking, take it out and pull the meat off the bones. Put the meat back into the pot and mix it all together.
  4. Scoop the sauce over your cooked bow-tie pasta. Add some steamed broccoli on the side. If you want, sprinkle some mozzarella cheese on top. Enjoy!

💡 Tip: Bow-tie pasta is fun to eat and holds the sauce really well!
