What You Need
- 1 kg chicken drumsticks
- 690g jar of passata sauce
- 400g can of chopped tomatoes
- 1 cup of water
- 100g basil pesto
- 250g sun-dried tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons of minced garlic
- 200g green beans
To Serve:
- 1 head of broccoli, cut up and steamed
- 1 packet of bow-tie pasta, cooked
- Mozzarella cheese on top if you like
How To Make Chicken Tomato Pesto Pasta
- Put all the main ingredients into your slow cooker — but not the green beans yet! Cook on low heat for 4 and a half hours.
- After 2 and a half hours, add the green beans to the pot.
- When the chicken is done cooking, take it out and pull the meat off the bones. Put the meat back into the pot and mix it all together.
- Scoop the sauce over your cooked bow-tie pasta. Add some steamed broccoli on the side. If you want, sprinkle some mozzarella cheese on top. Enjoy!
💡 Tip: Bow-tie pasta is fun to eat and holds the sauce really well!
