Slow Cooker Meatballs. Yummy Meatball Dinner from Grandma’s Kitchen… Do you want to make something really tasty for dinner tonight? My grandma used to make this special dish that reminds me of happy times with my family. It’s so easy that even you can help make it! The best part is that your kitchen will smell amazing while it cooks. Let me show you how to make these wonderful meatballs that everyone will love!
What You Need to Know:
This is an easier way to make our regular chicken dinner, but with meatballs instead!
Ingredients
- 35 meatballs (you can buy them ready-made from the store, or ask a grown-up to help you make your own)
- 1/4 cup salty brown sauce (it’s called soy sauce)
- 1 cup red tomato sauce
Slow Cooker Meatballs: Steps
- Put your meatballs in the slow cooker. Don’t cook them first – just put them in cold!
- Pour both sauces together and mix them up. Then pour this yummy sauce over all the meatballs.
- Turn the slow cooker on low and let it cook for 4 hours. Just walk away and let the magic happen!
- When it’s done, the slow cooker will make lots and lots of sauce – way more than you see at the start. This is so cool! Don’t worry if it looks like there’s not much sauce at the beginning.
How to Serve Slow Cooker Meatballs
- Pour the meatballs and all that delicious sauce onto a plate.
- I like to serve mine with creamy mashed potatoes mixed with peas, carrots, and corn.
- Make regular mashed potatoes the way you always do.
- Cook some frozen peas, carrots, and corn.
- Mix all the veggies into your mashed potatoes right before you eat.
- The yummy sauce goes right on top!
Fun Extra Idea
- This recipe is so good, you can also use sausages instead of meatballs!
- Just have a grown-up help you cut them into small pieces with scissors, then cook them the same way.
- It tastes just as amazing!
