450g (1 lb) diced beef

1 diced onion

175g carrots

250ml brown ale

50ml water

2 tbsp tomato puree

1 packet Schwartz slow cooker beef and ale mix
(Tip: I tossed in mushrooms for extra fun!)
Beef and Ale Stew Making Steps

Start your slow cooker so it gets warm while you cut the veggies and meat.

Cut the carrots and onion into small pieces.

Add the meat, vegetables, and seasoning packet into the slow cooker.

In a jug, stir the water, brown ale, and tomato puree. (I added a splash more ale for flavor!)

Pour the mix over the meat and veggies.

Put the lid on tight. Cook it on high heat for 4 hours or low heat for 8 hours. Stir once halfway if you want.

Serve hot with your favorite sides, like oven-roasted potatoes.
