Chocolate Orange steamed sponge Pudding. Joining everyone else on the pudding front, got the recipe on line but adapted it slightly as I didnt have any fresh oranges.
Very rich and yummyÂ
For Sauce:
50 gram cocoa
50 gram butter
100 gram sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
200 ml milk
For Pudding:
100 gram sugar
225 gram self raising flour
50 gram Cocoa
150 ml milk / 2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp orange extract
Method:
To make sauce, sift cocoa into a small saucepan, add all the other ingredients and warm over medium heat, stirring continually. Allow to bubble for 1 minute before removing from heat.
Pour sauce into a greased pudding basin. Leave to cool.
To make pudding mix all ingredients together in a large bowl so it looks like a cake mixture.
Pour pudding mixture on top of cooled chocolate sauce cover with foil, place basin in slow cooker and place boiling water in the slow cooker bowl until it reaches halfway to top of pudding basin.
Cook on high for 1 1/2 hours.
