Slow Cooker Pepper Steak

Ingredients:

3-lbs flank steak
1/2 cup corn starch
3-tbs olive oil
2-cloves garlic minced
1 1/2- cup soy sauce
1 1/2- cup water
1-cup brown sugar
2-med onions
2-green peppers
2-red peppers

Method:

Cut steak into strips. Add corn starch and beef into a ziplock bag shake good. And oil, brown sugar, soy sauce, water, garlic and your meat into slow cooker cook low for 6 hours. Add peppers and onions 1 1/2 hours before you meat is done.

Kept seeing everyone making lasagna on here, and I just had to give it a go. I’m officially obsessed. Tasted gorgeous

Recipe & method for 6Ltr slow cooker
(I didn’t brown it in the oven or grill it browned in my slow cooker)

Ingredients: 
750g 5% fat mince
Thinly sliced carrots
Mushrooms
X2 white onion
X2 red onion
X1 leek
Tomato sauce
Tinned tomato (strained so not too wet)
Oregano
Thyme
Salt
Pepper
Garlic
Cheese

Method:
Lightly fry your carrots, onions and mushrooms in a pan for 5/10 minutes and then place to one side
Then brown your mince and drain all the excess oil/fat.
Then mix all your fried veg/onion etc and mince together in the pan and add your seasoning. (Tomatoes, salt, garlic, pepper, oregano, thyme)
Place a layer of mince at the base of slow cooker, and layer with lasagna sheets top with your sauce and then a layer of cheese. Repeat this again. I pre warm my slow cooker on high when I start to cook my mince. I then cook it on high for two hours, then on low for two hours. For the last two hours I popped a tea towel under the lid tied around to prevent sogginess.
Better than oven cooked and clean up is easier! Enjoy!
