Rosemary Diced beef with Garlic Gravy. Perfect was made with creamy mashed calf potato, carrots and corn cobs. You may want to take a couple of crusty loaves of bread or mushy white supper rolls to wipe all the gravy off your plates as well as your mouths – it is delicious!

Ingredients

1kg diced beef (blade, chuck, oyster etc – not too lean or it will not result in a drier dish)

1 Tblsp minced garlic (4 cloves)

2 Tblsp tomato paste

1 tsp. dried thyme (or 1Tblsp. fresh)

1/4 cup of plain flour

1/2 tsp salt
-
1/2 tsp cracked black pepper

1tsp beef stock powder
-
I large onion, diced
-
4 stalks of fresh rosemary (or 1 T dried rosemary) that are big and palm length

40g of your favourite gravy (just dry powder)

1/2 cup warm water
Rosemary Diced beef: Instructions

Cut diced beef in a big bowl, add garlic, tomato paste and thymes and combine well and cover.

Wet flour with salt, pepper and dry stock powder and dust off the meat.

Again, stir to coat well.

Add meat and onions with coating to slow cooker and place rosemary stalks over it.

Bake in the low cooker for 5hrs with stirring every 1-2 times.

Take away stalks of rosemary and throw away. Stir.

Into the gravy powder add the 1/2 cup of warm water and stir.

This is mixed in with the meat mixture and left to cook an additional 30mins.
