  • 1 kg chopped chicken pieces (from breast or thigh)

  • 600 ml cream for cooking

  • 1 red onion, chopped small

  • 1-2 tsp black pepper (cracked, add as much as you like)

  • 1 big spoon minced garlic (from 2-3 cloves)

  • 190 g jar tomato pesto (or sun-dried tomato kind)

  • ½ cup chopped green onions

  • 1 cup tiny pasta shells

  • 1 cup shredded tasty cheese (light or full-fat works)

Tomato Cheesy Chicken Pasta: Directions

  1. Put the chicken in your slow cooker.

  2. Mix the cream, onion, pepper, garlic, and pesto together. Pour it over the chicken.

  3. Cook on low heat for 3.5 to 4 hours.

  4. Add the uncooked pasta and green onions. Stir it up, then cook on low for 30 more minutes (bigger pasta might need 45 minutes).
