Brown Sugar Marinated Chicken & Tomato Sauce

Brown Sugar Marinated Chicken & Tomato Sauce. A big, yummy slow-cooked whole chicken covered in a sweet and tangy sauce!

This easy slow cooker chicken is coated in a rich mix of tomato sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic. It cooks low and slow until super tender and full of flavor. Perfect for busy days when you want a warm, tasty meal ready without much work!

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken (any kind of chicken works!)
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • Soy sauce to taste (about 1 tablespoon)
  • Garlic to taste (about 1 clove)

Brown Sugar Marinated Chicken: Directions

  1. Put the tomato sauce and brown sugar into a bowl and mix them together really well.
  2. Add a little soy sauce and garlic. Try a little bite and see how it tastes. Add more if you think it needs it!
  3. Rub the sauce all over the chicken so every part gets coated.
  4. Put the chicken into your slow cooker. Pour any leftover sauce on top of it.
  5. Put the lid on. Cook it on high for 3 to 4 hours, or on low for 6 to 8 hours. It’s done when the chicken is soft and cooked all the way through!

🍗 Tip: Cooking it on low for longer makes the chicken extra soft and juicy!
