Pea and Ham Soup Slow Cooker Recipe

Mmmmmm Pea and Ham Soup Slow Cooker Recipe 🍜

Ingredients:

1 left over Christmas ham mines about 2 1/2 kgs
500g green spilt peas rinsed
6 medium spuds chopped
4 carrots sliced
4 celery sticks sliced
2 onions diced

Instructions:

Add all ingredients to Slow Cooker
I used 7 litre Breville Slow Cooker
Fill with water half way
Oh I do rotate the meat about every hour!
When meat starts to fall off the bone remove from S.C I say after 3 to 4 hours on high.
And if there is any rind left remove also. But I made this last year and there was no rind left on.
Add shredded meat back to slow cooker with 2 cups of frozen peas and a packet Continental garden vegetable soup and pepper to taste.
Now give the ingredients in the Slow Cooker a bit of a whizz with a hand blender to thicken up I still like mine a bit chucky.
Cook for a further half hour or so till frozen peas are cooked.
Serve with warm dinner rolls 😁
