Ingredients

1 kg lean beef mince

1 large onion, diced

1 large carrot, finely diced

1 heaped teaspoon minced garlic

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 cup tomato sauce (ketchup)

2 tablespoons curry powder

1.5 cups beef stock (liquid)

Cracked black pepper to taste

Optional: 1 tablespoon cornflour mixed with a little water to thicken
Classic Curried Mince: Directions

Put the beef mince, onion, carrot, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, curry powder, beef stock, and black pepper into the slow cooker.

Stir everything so it mixes well.

Cook on low for 4–5 hours until the meat is soft and the flavors are blended.

If the sauce is too thin, mix the cornflour with a little water, then stir it into the mince and cook a few more minutes until it thickens.
