Lamb Chops in Creamy Gravy. Slowly cooked lamb chops in a creamy, savoury sauce. Coconut cream, garlic, and onion soup mix make the gravy rich and tasty. This easy slow-cooker recipe needs little work and gives tender, flavorful meat that pairs well with rice, potatoes, or bread. Great for a cozy family meal.

Slow-cooked lamb loin chops in a creamy sauce

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 6 hours
Total Time: 6 hours 15 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 8 small lamb loin chops (you can use other lamb cuts)

  • 400 ml coconut cream (one can)

  • 1 heaped tsp cornflour

  • 1 heaped tsp minced garlic

  • 1 heaped tsp beef stock powder (I use Massel)

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 packet French onion soup mix (dry)

Lamb Chops in Creamy Gravy: Directions

  1. Put the lamb chops in the bottom of the slow cooker.

  2. In a bowl, mix the coconut cream, cornflour, minced garlic, beef stock powder, Worcestershire sauce, and French onion soup mix until smooth.

  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the lamb chops so they are covered.

  4. Cover the slow cooker and cook it on low flame for 6 hrs. (Use a tea towel over the lid if you like the Tea Towel Trick.)

  5. After cooking, check that the lamb is tender and the sauce is thick. If needed, stir and thicken more with a little extra cornflour mixed in cold water, then heat briefly.

  6. Serve the lamb chops with the creamy gravy and your choice of side.
