Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Cajun spice mix

  • 2 teaspoons smoky paprika

  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar

  • 1.5-2kg+ beef spare ribs or pork ribs

  • 1 cup tomato sauce

  • 1/3 cup BBQ sauce

  • 2 garlic cloves, smashed

  • 1/4 cup bourbon

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Bourbon BBQ Beef Ribs: Directions

  1. Put the ribs in a slow cooker. Sprinkle on the dry spices and rub them all over the meat.

  2. Pour in all the wet sauces and add the smashed garlic. Stir everything well. Cook on high for 1 hour, then switch to low for 5-6 hours.

  3. Move ribs to an oven tray. Cover with foil or a lid. Bake at 150°C for 20 minutes. Brush on some sauce from the cooker halfway.

  4. Take sauce from the slow cooker and pour into a pan. Boil on high heat until it gets thick like syrup.

  5. Pour the thick sauce over the ribs or dunk them in it. Dig in and enjoy!
